Completing your TOGAF 9 certification

This page provides summary guidance for individuals who have passed the applicable examination and need to complete the final steps to become certified for TOGAF 9.

What are the next steps after completing the exam(s)?

Exam results are sent from Prometric to The Open Group. Upon receipt, they are processed and then The Open Group emails you with information on how to login to the web certification system at The Open Group to complete your certification.

How long does it take for The Open Group to contact me?

This can take up to 6 working days. The Open Group typically receives your exam result after 2 days from Prometric, and then needs to process the result. Please note that The Open Group offices are closed on the weekend.

What to do if you are not contacted by The Open Group?

Occassionally we are unable to contact you due to an incorrect email address when you registered for the exam. If after 6 working days you have not been contacted please email togaf-cert-admin(at)opengroup(dot)org.

I took the Part 1 exam and want to take the Part 2, do I need to wait?

If you are taking the exams on the same day then you can proceed. If you are taking them separately then we request that you wait to receive confirmation of certification at Level 1 before proceeding to take the Part 2 exam.
