Q: How long have you been involved with The Open Group?

I began my involvement with The Open Group in March 2012 when I became certified in TOGAF®.

Q. What do you do, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been working in IT consultancy for over 12 years, the last 6.5 years with EY specializing in Program Delivery and Enterprise Architecture. I originally began working with EY in our London office but transferred to the Mumbai office 2.5 years ago to help establish our IT Transformation practice which included building our Enterprise Architecture capability across India. I am now based out of Mumbai but support clients across the Emerging Markets.

Q: Why did your organization become a member and what does your involvement look like?

EY is a Gold Member of The Open Group since 2008 and have regularly held the Vice-Chair position for the Architecture Forum.

Q: How has membership in The Open Group benefited you, your organization and the industry at large?

Our affiliation with and contribution to TOGAF has helped EY to build credibility in the market place as a leading provider of advisory service in Enterprise Architecture.

Q: What contributions do you hope to bring to The Open Group?

I have three goals in terms of contribution to the Open Group 1) to drive the release of the next version of TOGAF 2) to support development of TOGAF within the Emerging Markets (particularly India) and 3) to encourage diversity and inclusiveness in The Open Group.

Q: Why is it important for other organizations to join The Open Group?

It is vital for the development of TOGAF that we continue to gain fresh ideas, fresh thinking and fresh drive through encouragement of other organizations to join The Open Group.  It also supports building of the brand within the market place as leading players become affiliated.

Q: What are your hobbies?

I am a keen runner and try to run every day – mainly in the gym because of the heat in Mumbai – but when I can in the early morning I run by the sea. I am also passionate about the advancement of professional women and am an on the committee for We Are The City India – a platform to support professional women.  I’m learning Hindi – slowly - and my boyfriend and I have a six month old Golden Labrador puppy so the remainder of my spare time is spent rescuing shoes, remote controls, jewelry and various clothing items from being chewed.

Q: What book are you currently reading?

I love to read books but sadly down time is replaced by attempting to keep in touch with family and friends from the other side of the world.  I read whats’app mainly.
